Aqualung has announced a recall on weight pockets for some of their integrated-weight BCDs for scuba diving.

It concerns the SureLock™II weight pocket handles. SureLock™II is the mechanical weight release system found on most Aqua Lung & Seaquest buoyancy compensators (BCs or BCDs) beginning in 2009.

If you’ve purchased one of these scuba BCDs from Total Diving - Montreal Scuba… No worries! We’ll replace them with a newer, stronger, model of Aqualung weight pockets - for free.

You can bring us your scuba BCD right away or wait a bit… If you bring it right now, you’ll have to wait until we receive the newer weight pockets (some have already been shipped to us). If you wait a few days, we’ll be able to exchange them on the spot.

You need to bring your Aqualung BCD to us. We will record the serial number and exchange the weight pockets.

Since these newer Aqualung weight pockets will be in short supply for the next few weeks, we will give priority to scuba divers who have purchased their Aqualung or Seaquest BCD from Total Diving - Montreal Scuba. Bring your invoice if you still have it!
